8.8% History channel, trivial pursuit, and DEVO put me on the board. I does bother me I didn't even recognize 2/3 of the things they asked about. I have a lot to learn. DD

Where is it safe to like DEVO any more these days, I've wondered.  History Channel is sad, me thinks (ex: "Modern Marvels" read Three Gorges Dam), compared to History International Channel (ex: at least some coverage to stuff taking place before 1980).

"38.46154% Major Geek"  I guess doing software support for a living and having 3 computers at home (me & my wife) sorta says it all

Regards,
Marcel

Confessions of an "Extreme Geek" (It's a sickness) I have; 3 computers and 5 monitors in my home office alone. 3 laptops, a Blackberry and a Treo. More Cell phones than you would believe. No less than three different mapping systems on my computers, because none of them are just right alone. 3 different GPS units, two with remote antennas and data cables to hook them to the laptops a HAM radio license KC5EEW wired my whole house with CAT 5 cable two separate wireless routers / networks running at home. (One for the wife and kids, one for me) 3 different printers in the home. Laser, color inkjet, and a multifunction scanner, fax, copier, toaster oven thing. (for which I actually read the entire manual) 6 different email addresses I use regularly an Apple IIe in the garage that still works. Three different books on how to play Bridge. memorized all the legal 2 letter words that can be used in Scrabble. I'm just getting started here, but you all probably already think I am crazy enough. Well, I don't even work in "computers". That is the sad part. I also achievd my score without any "gaming" credits. I have never played a "computer game" since they developed graphics. Now the old text games were cool, made you think. I have played bridge online for 12 hours straight, or longer, when I am suffering from insomnia. Fortunately, I have not had that problem for a while. (Knock on wood) I have a HeathKit "tube type" ham radio that can bounce signls off the moon or skip all the way around the planet, and actually built it myself. I have participated in "Meter Hunts", where one guy goes and hides anywhere in a three county range with a new radio and transmits a signal for three minutes every ten minutes. First guy to find him wins the radio. (Now that is GEEK) No techno/computer clothing, but I have been seen in public with shorts and tennis shoes while wearing black socks. LOL JP

Dx, I thought you would have broker 25% easy!???! Neat movie, Great book. Have you seen the director's cut where the internal dialogue by Harrison Ford is omitted completely. Makes for a much different, and better, movie. JP
