Wierd Dumping Episode
Had my first real dumping episode today. Why is this notable? Because I have never dumped on the normal things. Birthday cake, no problem. Ice Cream on brownie, no problem. Pizza - no problem. I wish I did dump on those. I could use the check.
Instead, today I dumped on Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. Immediate dumping both ends. Go figure.
Sounds like the dreaded reverse RNY or YNR syndrome. So much sugar intake, your body now rejects protein. Maybe try some chicken soup ala mode????
How do you eat that stuff? Why do you eat that stuff??
They must have hook my butt to my throat. I get woosy thinking about sweets. I had a shrimp roll and barfed for 3 hours after, I guess because it was fried. I was thinking shrimp and cabbage, homemade,...forgot it was fried,...body didn't
Hey,...honestly, I am glad you can tolerate some of that kinda stuff and haven't a clue what made you ill. Just having some fun at your expense. But I have to just not go there and don't want to go there at this point. (I am still on a mission to drop 200+ by 1 yr anniversary).
Suspicion: I will say that I have found the grease in the broth of some noodle soups will make me sick. SO I just eat the chunky good stuff (like with a fork) and leave the broth with the bubble things floating therein. Maybe thats what got you.
I'm in the same boat, haven't had full on dumping yet, but I can eat ice cream ( okay i did it once last night and just a bite or two), a danish well it was a two mile walk to the bakery and only ate 4 bites and put the rest back in the bag, and gave the rest to my son, thin mints.
Can't eat beef, fish, chicken, seafood did okay on pork ( but only had it once so far) and veal ( only had it once). Mostly living on yogurt and protein shakes these days.
I'm only 6 weeks out, down about 70lbs, walking 1-2 miles a day, feeling great, weight keeps falling off. I will have to try meat and fish again in a month or so.
I actually don't make the bad stuff a habit. Pizza was January 8th for the National Championship game, the ice cream brownie - Superbowl. Daughter's birthday cake, etc.
I had chicken noodle soup before from Campbells, didn't dump then. I must have just ate it too fast. That's all I can figure at this point. It was just wierd.
I've had other soups with no problem since surgery.
Just curious if others had this type of experience. A food that we shouldn't dump on, which we've had before with no problems, then all of sudden - WHAM.
