March 50 Mile Challenge - Checkpoint #2
Howdy Gents. It's time to check your stats thus far for March. Can't remember the last time I'd rather be playing basketball than watching basketball. Strange stuff that.
How you doin? Here are my numbers:
Last Month: 120 miles (90 eliptical, 30 stationary bike)
Miles through March 8: 25 (23 eliptical, 2 stationary bike)
Miles through March 15: 21 (15 eliptical, 6 stationary bike)
March Goal: 100 miles (80 eliptical, 20 stationary bike)
Percent of month elapsed: 48%
Percent of personal goal completed: 46%
Percent of 50 mile challenge completed: 92%
After a few days of springlike weather here we're rainy and cold today. They're threatening the rain turning into sleet/freezing rain tonight. I know the weather people don't mean to be hurtful, but I'm taking this one personally. Come on spring!
Would love to hear how everyone is progressing.
Stronger everyday.

How's it goin', Dan?
Friday morning... challenge thread posted.... like clockwork!
Well, the weather cooperated this week, and along with my regullarly scheduled training sessions, I got out on the bike almost every day. I did get a new tattoo last week (pics to follow), so I have to stay out of the pool for 2 full weeks... I more than made up for it, though.
Odometer Check:
Last Month Total Miles: 157
Miles Thu, March 1st - Thu, March 8th: 60
(29 Bike / 22 Run / 8 Elliptical / 1 Swim)
Miles Fri, March 9th - Thu, March 15th: 78
(56 Bike / 16 Run / 6 Elliptical)
Total Miles (March): 138
Personal Monthly Goal: 200
Percent of Month Elapsed: 48%
Percent of 50 Mile Goal Achieved: 276%
Percent of Personal Goal Achieved: 69%
Weather's gonna be crappy for the next few days. So, I don't see myself getting in another 78 miles this week, but, I'll be sure to keep on track for those 200 total miles.
Thanks again, Dan.
See Ya At The Finish Line.
Be Well,
A.J.

WOW i am such a liar....This morning when i poasted my miles I was under heavy head cold meds...
During my walk this morning i realised that I had upped my walking effective 3/1 to 2 mile walks 2 times per day.
So I have actually walked 64 miles to date.................. So I guess i am doing better than I thought!!
Walk all them miles and I have gained 3 lbs since yesterday?? What the heck is that about??
Take care
God Bless

Miles March 9 - March 15: 11 miles
Total Miles for March: 38 miles

Hi Guys, This is fun! Miles through March 8: 21 (13 walking, 2 elliptical, 6 stationary bike) Miles through March 15: 48 (25 walking, 3 elliptical, 20 stationary bike) March Goal: 50 miles Percent of month elapsed: 48% Percent of personal goal completed: 96% I guess I'm going to have to make a bigger goal for April? I would've already added to my totals, but spent way too much time yesterday digging out from the messy snowstorm we had here on Friday afternoon/evening. Totally wrecked myself for the gym for the weekend, but on a positive note, my driveway is so big, I know I got a great workout anyway! Bill from Boston
