Hi Guys, I just arrived in Beijing.  I'll be here for a few days before heading home.  I am kind of exhausted now, so I will look forward to that. I had my first hurl on the flight from Shanghai to Beijing.  They served me some fish that I couldn't identify.  I had about 3 ozs. and felt the urge to barf come on.  I just made it to the bathroom in time. The airline was China Eastern Air.  It is really not a great airline.  And, I am wondering if the food was spoiled.  Because up until that point, I was having no problem with any fish at all. There was no sauce or topping.  So it was a mystery. When I got to the hotel, I had seafood soup.  That was fine.  No upset. Beijing is really gearing up for the 2008 Olympics.  It seems that all of the hotels are building a new wing to handle all the expected visitors.  There are a lot more cars that there used to be and traffic jams are common. I'll let you know my impressions as I continue my trip.

It is good oh foreign type that you barf once on world tour to remind honorable one of roots and humble rebirth.  When you can take the unidentified fish from the airline meal plate, it will be time for you to leave,.....grasshopper. That is all of the oriental speak I can muster.  Hope it isn't lost in translation. You are a braver man than I.  Glad you have only had the one encounter and you'll be home soon. Seems the grass will need cutting and you're the only one with the jeys to the mower.

Beijing is probably the most dynamic city on the planet right now. Enjoy your visit, protect your pouch. DD
