First Congrats and good luck to you on your PS. The bilateral mastopexy is actually the easier of the 2 surgeries.  Remember all your muscles are in your stomach so that does cause more pain.   The surgeon said that if I were having only my chest done I would be back at work in a week.  I had my surgery Feb 27th and I am going back to work on March 26th....... I get tired now alot, but I think I would have no problem going to wedding.....don't think I would be doing much dancing, but all the rest would be fine.  I just know that I would be sound asleep the minute I got home. If you want to contact me and get more info my e-mail address is [email protected] Good Luck, Alan

Alan, Thanks for your post on ps.  I am scheduled for the bilateral mastoplexy and a lower body lift by Dr. Hurwitz in Pittsburgh, PA on June 4th, 2007.  I could have had the surgery sooner but my son is getting married in May & DW convinced me I should wait until after the wedding.  I am down 140 lbs and can NOT seem to get this last 20 to 25 lbs off.  I am looking forward to the surgeon taking that off for me.  LOL  I have read quite a bit that this surgery is much more painful than the lap RNY that I had 12/2/05.  Got along very well with that one and back to work in 1 month.  I am taking off the entire month of June for this surgery and could take more if needed. Again, thanks for the info. Mike
