Another new guy - Surgery scheduled March 20th
Welcome goberhaus!!
You will find that there is a lot of wisdom in this stale musty locker room. Pull up a stool, have a seat, and take a load off. This group is the best support group you could ever hope to find. No question is off limit, but be prepared for the answer... we don't hold back, and tell it like it is. No Shoes, No Shirt, Who Cares!! Congrats on your upcoming WLS... I am a Lap-Bander, but we have gobs and gobs of RNY's to answer your questions. Good Luck on the 20th, Take care, and type atcha l8er.
Semper Fidelis!
Good luck to you. I will watch for your posts with interest as I am having my surgery on march 22. We will be sharing the loser's bench for while.
How prepared are you? Protien supplements, b-12, and the rest in place yet. I procrastinate and need to get moving. Do like my ducks in a row but definitely work best at the deadline. lol
Godspeed my friend.
Tony J.
Hey Goberhaus, welcome to the locker room. As a transplanted Cincinnatian all I can say is get that last Montgomery Inn Ribs, LaRosa's Pizza, Skyline Chili, and Graeter's in. Oh, and goetta too. You won't be having those for awhile nor will you desire them. So that's a really cool thing.
If you are like me, it was love for those things that got me into trouble in the first place. Seriously though, you will find this forum a great help and a lot of encouragement.
I wish all the best in your coming surgery. I think you will find like me it was one of the smartest decision you ever made.
Congrats,
Greg
Hey Geof,
I think it's great that your mom had the surgery 2.5 years ago. Not only did she take control of her own weight issues, she showed you that the surgery works, and works well. I didn't know anyone personally that I could ask a million questions, so the Men's Board become an invaluable resource of information before surgery and beyond. If there are any questions that your mom can't pin down for you, we're all here to help out. Trust me, no matter the situation, someone on this board has first hand knowledge of it.
These last nine days will zip by and you'll be on the losing side of things before you know it. I hope you have the greatest on the 20th, and are back home recoverying shortly after.
Welcome to the Locker Room!
