My apologies for not being able to help out with the chat either way. I am unable to use chat from work. Also, sorry it's not working out, despite the wonderful amount of effort put in!

Dx, I feel your frustation, too.  I try to make it to every chat because I thoroughly enjoy chatting with the guys and learning more about them.  This week was not as enjoyable, but at the beginning we did have great chat about exercise before you got in the room.  AJ has been one of my motivators and it was the first time I've had opportunity to chat with him about his exercise regime.  It was such a positive experience.  The disruptive discussion wasn't only started shortly before you arrived.  I'd hate to see this chat terminated because there are a lot of positive points. Dx Iwasn't on last session due to other issues, but i can imagine what went on.  The nights i was on I found it confusing to keep up with multiple conversations.  My wife always tells me I am not very good at multi-tasking.   I agree with the previous idea that we set a time to be on the forum page together.  It might slow things down a bit, but the coneersations can be followed and most importantly it can be retained for others who could not be there. drjco

I think my PS scar is like yours...I have had to have a cople of aspirations...but I think they are slowing..... I think on the 4th of July, i'll be ready to answer the question,,,,,was it worth it???? How's your family doing???? Russ

Hey Russ, Anne Rice Ancients The aspirations becoming less needed? My seroma was a bioch, but the final results are great. I was told to make sure I drank extra water as counter-intuitive as that seemed And my nutritionist said that eating parsley and celery and any of the other naturally diuretic foods would help. I may have passed that on before, but no memory cells are working tonight. I’ve been PhotoShop-ing image files for a projection design all day and my mind is numb. Once everything heals up and it’s just a matter of reducing the look of the scars… here’s some info I found out. The scar reduction creams –like Mederma? ScarZone? Any of the typical Cream in a tube products, Don’t do much of anything. If you have a large enough clear surface (not covered with hair growing in) You can use those "Scar reducing Silicone Bandages" They are semi-see through. They do wonders!!! Due to the skin graft taken from my leg to cover my open Torso, as well as the scar running up my leg from removing a vein to use in a heart bypass, I’ve had some scars. Hell, probably more scar tissue than some of these shrinking guys have skin! Those silicon pads will reduce the redness / purple-ishness of the scars by about 60%. I was amazed. They’re not supposed to be used until everything has healed up, but after that? The sooner, the better. For my Panniculectomy scars, I used them on the sides. (where love handles used to be) Those scars are skin colored now. I didn’t even attempt using them on the front. The thought of ripping out pubes was just too much. I’d rather have the "thin red line." Hope all is going great for you! Family’s doing super. My son’s band is competing in a ‘battle of the bands" this weekend and they’ve been at my house "jamming" for the last 5 days!!! I’m looking forward to a Quiet weekend at home. Best wishes- Dx

Dx, Sorry I missed the chat this week.  8pm (EST) I'm still at the gym.  I always find your insights helpful.  And besides us 2003 RNY guys need to stick together.  I found that over the last several weeks the chat room seemed more social hour than place to share progress.   Exercise is a critical part of my success on this journey.  I am keying up for a half-marathon on Sunday (not bad for 53).  Keep plugging away and sharing your knowledge. Dx, I have found information in the chats helpful.  But I would like to see a more moderated and themed session if possible.  I wonder if we can re-think the format and ground rules and give it another try?
Jim
