Well guys, I'm about 4 weeks away. I've suffered a bit of 'last supper' and gained a bit, but the plan is in place to drop what I can before surgery. I've decided to do liquid breakfast / lunch with a sensible dinner for the next 2 /3 weeks, then switch entirely to liquids for that last week or so. I'm still pretty active and putting in about 3 miles a day with walking / running. Feeling good, but still many aches / pains from hauling this lard around. Can't wait.  For those itching for spring and will get outside for your walking / biking, I have 2 sites for you that can help track your distance, elevation and such. Especially good for the runners and bikers among us...  http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ http://www.mapmyrun.com/index.php?latitude=44.794&longitude= -93.4974 These are great for when you just want to go and then get home and ask where, how far you went, or to plot new routes, or existing loops and such.  State hockey playoffs have started, NFL free agency, March madness, ahhh... It's good to be a guy this time of year. Make room and stand back 'cause I plan on ripping some huge ones soon....  Take care....   Jim

sounds like you're doing fine Tri. i have a protein shake for breakfast and lunch. lunch is something mushy and soft if i'm working but then have a real dinner with meat in it. so even though this is how you start it's my staple and i'm 15 months out. just a new way of eating i guess. works for me. since i don't need that much food anymore, the protein shakes are enough for me. you might find you're going to change your eating style a lot in the coming months. for me, i couldn't eat anything solid for 7 months but that's not normal. once i could eat solid again my tastes had changed and i prefer soups and things like that. softer the better for me......Carbonblob

Hey Jim, Have a "Great Switch" on the 5th!! Don’t buy into that little voice in the back of your head saying- "I’ll never get to eat________ again." Not the case, even for us RNY’s! The "aches and pains from hauling?" My knees thank me daily for my WLS! This month will pass before you know it! Best Wishes- Dx
