Carbonated Beveridge Experiment

Hi Guys,

I've had a little remaining gas, so I thought I'd try diet coke. It also seems to help with the gas. Things are "getting through" more easily.

The RNY world is divided on the issue of carbonation. I found that the "two holes at either end of the pouch" argument doesn't quite hold water: The small bowel and the pouch inflate at the same time and stay inflated until a burp comes out. How much the pouch inflates, I'm not sure, but it does stay inflated until you burp.

Also noticed that diet coke gives me an even better pick up than coffee. Really feeling good.

(((hugs)))

Dx,

Nah, that's just a hand-rolled cig that Pooh enjoys on special occasions!

Love that Nowak symbol, there!

Hehe...I wish I could get it to come out right away as CO2. That would solve all of the gas pain problems. The gas seems to be having a hard time making it around a lot of "obstacles".

I might hang with the diet coke, the stomach tissue is awfully thick - don't think a little coke fizz will stretch it out!

Best Wishes,

Dave
