Good advice Dx. I was trying to make sure I got the protein of the fish and the balance of a bit of vegetable.
Since the op I've had very little in the way of vegetables in particular. Have been able to get some fruit either in yoghurt or in dried form.
Yi, yi, yi. Yes, I tell myself, be patient...... At my Dr's review y'day he "guaranteed" I would be feeling much better 3 months out.
Rick
Man, reading these posts is bettr than anything on TV. You guys crack me up.
Rick, I admire you keep hanging in there with the good stuff. I'm at 5 months and fish and chcicken are still a hit or miss deal for me. I guess as Dx said, the trick is not putting too much down and I really fill up on that stuff fast,...like after 2-4 forks full, even well chewed. I do better with shrimp but it has to be cooked (usually boiled) well. If it isn't done sufficiently, I have found it comes back up more often. Microwave fish is a killer. Baked or boild works more often for me. But alast,....
Bar-B-Qued protein shake,...that one got me thinking. I did read on the OH.com Virginia Board a lady that has a recipe for using protein powder to make a protein cookie/brownie thing. I didn't read it though. It just sounded wrong to me. There is a Borther of the Scar in Fredricksburg VA that says they sell buffalo meat at his grocery store and it goes down really well. Might you have some delicassy's there to experiment with? Never read anything about bear, kangaroo, white shark, or yankee surfers.
I'd back off a bit before you break something but I admire your perseverance and tenancity. Nothing ventured nothing gained. We be watching and learning. Keep posting. You got good stuff and sure draw some excellent responses.
