Interferential back device
Hey CB,
I just figured I'd chime in. I was started on Lyrica last lear for the pain from my Diabectic Neuropathy. With the concern that it might be reacting against one of my other meds the Dr. had me stop it for a while after I had been on it for months.
I didn't really think it was doing much for my pain until I stopped it. It takes a while for it to work and because it starts working slowly you don't realize it's doing anything. When I stopped it the pain increased greatly.
Unfortunately it doesn't stop all my pain but it does help. I still haven't found anything that helps with the pain like the Vicodin I take each night.

Thanks for the info CB. My mom has a lower back condition they don't want to operate on because she had triple bypass heart surgery 18months ago and its too soon to be cutting on her back. She uses a walker to get around her house. I have been forwarding this electro-back technology stuff you and KoKoMo Dan P have been putting out her so she can ask her doctors about it. I really appreciate you sharing the info.
You going to be needing a utility belt and an AC/DC converter or does all that come with the trial package and entry fees? Sorry, couldn't resist. At least I didn't mention anything about rotissere chick or BBQ on the spit cracks,.....oops.
Just be caution of hooking that thing up and going into some kind of ZEN state until the batteries die.

lol Joe, pretty soon i'm going to look like i'm wearing batman's utility belt! they have a clip or a shoulder set up where you have a holster like set up. i might actually wear that on the job since anything on my belt line usually gets smashed in the course of a day. i'm a little worried how comfortable it's going to be with electrodes, wire leads coming out of my shirt and all that. plus i may have to wear the garment. it's not like i can reach around and put these four electrodes in the middle of my back. we'll see. i'm glad this info might be helping your mom. let me know what the doc says.....Carbonblob
Wonder if there's anything for torn rotator cuff, Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD), besides pain medication?
While I've got you, it looks like self-hypnosis works for some things, pain being one of them. Pro athletes also use it for improved sports and workout performance. I've tried the workout ones, it seems to work if you keep doing the twenty to forty minute sessions, but not if you stop.
Best Wishes,
Dave
they use this device for those problems. actually, because this model can do stimulation by moving muscle they use to increase blood flow to damaged areas and to exercise bed ridden people by flexing a particular muscle. you bet it works on shoulders and joints. probably doesn't fix the joint but tricks the pain signal. self hypnosis is good too. my dad, a doctor worked with severely mentally ill, downs syndrome and handicapped children. he pioneered the use of hypnosis instead of anesthetics because the kids would freak out and you couldn't sedate them with needles. the self part would work for us though. you're right, have to be consistant though.
