Protein shake recipe
well guys, you can tell when i'm bored if i'm handing out recipies! anyway, thought i would try something new today. i'm sure Dx has this in his drink list but thought I would share it. I took some lowfat milk, one banana but then instead of ice cubes for consistancy, i added four s/f dreyers fruit bars. then i added my protein (designer whey vanilla), creatine and benefiber. cuisinart that for less than a minute and it has just enough fruit taste from the popsicles and a hint of banana. just a simple recipe but really filling. probably about 350 or more calories though so watch it. i could use the higher calories but i'm only making one a day. next time i'll use non fat milk. i just don't like the water stuff. otherwise i put my protein in non fat carnation hot chocolate. that's pretty good too with some cool whip light on top! i'll have two of those a day. i try to shoot for 150 grams of protein a day and it ain't easy getting that in. so enjoy......Carbonblob
when i lift i don't like to use dairy but i'm sick of hot chocolate and it's been setting record highs here so we don't need something hot to drink. i don't like water protien either so my consession is to make a lunch out of the whole thing. ice cubes are to make the shake thick and i thought, hell, why not use popsicles! the banana is great potassium and i'll be damned if it didn't taste great. i gave some to our dog walker since i was home today and it filler her up too. it stayed with me for the whole afternoon so now i'm thinking i'll make this in the morning and throw it in my cooler for lunch. hey, what the hell is this. who put an apron on me? ok guys, very funny........

How long does it take you to drink this thing Carbonblob!?
seriously Bob, a long time! it tastes light but goes down heavy. even when perfectly blended it sits heavy. i think i took about 20 minutes to fini**** and i gave a good sized glass to our dog walker too. she commented it filled her up too. like i said, you have to watch the calories with these smoothies. the milk, protein powder and maybe a few other suppliments will cost you calorie wise but the popsicles are not that much more and a banana is 100 calories. so i figure it's under 400 calories. i have a real hard time eating hard boiled eggs or a sandwich for work. i usually eat cheese, apple sauce and bananas for lunch. maybe some soy nuts or soup if a micro wave is on site. but i could pre make the shake and keep it cool all day until lunch. i can work and eat so this would be perfect. ok, took my nighttime meds and rambling too long for a one sentence question. nite bob................
