The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In ______March 4th! scale Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys. For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest! For those of you just home—"Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there, It Does Get Easier Each Week! I know that using the scales can make some crazy, (Slower loss is Still Loss!) -But- Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!" Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss. I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more If the numbers climb just a little. That way, I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine. If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?" Then STAY OFF of Them! But for those who Are weighing in- Drum roll-------------------------------------- Hop your Azz up on the Scales! How much have you lost? Since Surgery? Or in Pre-Op Diet? And has the Scale moved this week for you? If so, How Much? My Starting Weight? – 385 + All Time Low – 179 Me?- 181.5  Same ole, same....(range- up half a pound) So, What about YOU? (NEW GUYS AND LURKERS? Scan back over the last months of this weekly post, And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress, Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!) (Plateaus DO BREAK!) (Congratulations in Advance!!) Keep It Up!!! Best Wishes- Dx

Hi Dx,

Down a couple more pounds to 165 (unintentionally). Abdominal pain and bloating are keeping me from eating much.

I guess 165 could be called a success in a way, because at one point that was my personal goal, but the docs goal was 190 and 165 seemed/ felt a little too low. However, it has greatly increased my ability to run and swim, probably because I did most of my triathlon run and swim training at 165 back when I was 32.

Thanks for always checking in,

Dave

Dex Droped another two pounds this week, mainly due to the pain meds taking away my desire to eat.  I will hopefully get off these meds and loose due to exercise instead of meds. STARTING WEIGHT:  450 lbs. (Nov 8, 2005) CURRENT WEIGHT:  248 lbs. TOTAL LOSS:  202 lbs. Hope everyone has a successful loss this coming week. Dan

Sort of a "flat-line" week for me...rollercoaster on the scale.  I've ended up with a increase for my normal Saturday morning weigh-in and nothing of importance to attribute it too, guess we'll have to see what the coming week brings.  Such swings aren't terribly unusual for me for some reason. I've also decided to get another adjustment "fill" in the band to assist in some portioning issues I think I'm having. presurg high - 384 surgery day 03/21/06 - 366 current - 292

Had another good week as far as lbs go.  I still only took in about 2/3 of my protein goals.  I have been really eating very little in the hopes of having a quick loss.  This is my last week in Connecticut.  It will be nice to get back home.  I have been swimming out here and I think that has a lot to do with the 16lbs I have lost over the last 3 weeks.  What a great excercise! Consult  July  2006                     469 Surgery October 23, 2006         439 Last Week                                    352 This Week                                    347 -5lbs for the week.  Down 92 lbs since surgery.   Hope the rest of you had a good week.  I hope those of you who have not weighed in with us before will start today.

Hi Dx & Guys, This week:  237lbs, down 1lb. I've been away from home for three weeks due to a death in the family and--surprisingly--my eating's been good. I've also been able to go to a Gold's Gym, so the strength stuff is good. My only deficit is not as much walking as usual. So the fact that I've lost at least 2lbs travelling is good news. Also, I can't begin to tell everyone how much being able to check in the men's forum regularly has meant to me, especially while I'm out of my comfort zone. The Locker Room is like a home in cyber space.  Keep posting, guys. Gratefully, Doug

Very wierd and frustrating week guys.  I've been on steroids for my ankle for the last 6 weeks.  Lots of energy, only about 4 hours of sleep...and what I thought was holding me back on the weight loss.  Went off them this week,  Been going through withdrawal.  Slept 10 hours last night and gained 3.2 lbs.  Go figure.  Ankle is feeling OK, pain can be managed with Tylenol now which is much better on the pouch.

Starting Pre-op: 352.2 RNY 11/13/2006: 345.2 Last Week: 261.2 This week: 264.4 (+3.2 lbs) Total Loss: 87.8.0 lbs
