Here is a link (I hope) to a story about a young 330lb Chinese man who died after a seven-day marathon of playing computer games. I'm sorry for our young brother's death, but note that we never read:  http://gameinvasion.comcast.net/gameinvasion/news/article/11 72867340124_gamer_dies_after_marathon_session "Average weight guy dies watching TV"  or "Slim fellow passes away taking nap." Maybe I'm just "sensitive." Nah. I'm just cranky and technically and temporarily--NEWS ALERT: obese.

Duh! Clearly, I am not a computer whiz--I misplaced the link!  No problem, you guys can decipher my meaning.

Hey Doug, Before surgery I weighed more than 330 pounds. This situation would never have happened to me though. Playing on the computer for 7 days straight would have interfered way too much with my FOOD time. The decision to have surgery wasn't because I was afraid of dying though, just tired of being MO. Now, just Obese, very soon to be just overweight.  What a way to go!

Day of surgery weight  352
Current weight 250
Total Lost 102
Height 6'3"
BMI 31

I do remember one: This is often an overweight person's problem and could have been the the game-addicted Chinese fellow's reason for dying:

David Bloom was thin, but died from either a pulmonary embolism (PE) or a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), both of which are often associated with obesity.

Don't Know,

Dave
