I've been busy, but here's my UPDATE!!!
Hey guys,
I know it's been awhile since I've posted and quite a few of you are probably wondering how my 1 month follow-up went last week. Things have been pretty hectic around here lately, and I've been lurking late at night for the most part. ANYWAY, let's get down to business. I went to the Doc's office last week and stepped on the scale and it read 457. That's a 26 pound loss since my 1 week, for a total of 35 since surgery. But that's officially unofficial to me. See, they did not weigh me right before surgery, so I don't know how much I weighed. I weighed in pre-op a month before surgery at 491. I know for a fact I was heavier than that. My PCP's scale is always 3-4 pounds heavier than the surgeons, and I saw him on 12/27 and weighed 499 then. I saw him Thursday and weighed 460 on his scale for a 39 pound loss. So, I call my official 1st month weight loss 40 pounds. I've already lost 11% of my excess body weight. I can't believe I'm down 60 pounds since last summer and 50 pounds since I started seeing my surgeon. I feel great, and I'm looking for the big numbers to start coming off now. I'll be posting a profile update soon, so keep in touch.
Thanks for Everything Guys,
Troy

I CAN CHANGE, I WILL CHANGE, AND I WILL BE HAPPY WITH WHO I AM.
That's a fast loss, Troy! No small accomplisment when you think of all the good home-cooked food there is WVa. Some of my favorite rich dishes are from the eastern panhandle near Harrisonburg, VA. It really does take an effort to get in the healthy food.
You must be feeling great. I'm sure that the weight will just continue to peel off, especially if you're really busy and exercising.
Keep up the good work,
Dave
