It truly IS unfair reading about doing anything outside.  It will be early May before we even consider outdoor exercise.  I just got my power back after 16 hours of no electricity, my daughter has been without power over 30 hours so far.   Over 10,000 without power in our town of 15,000 and originally they were prediction 12 to 18 inches of snow on top of this inch of ice with 40 mph winds so yeah, warm weather seems so far, far away.  However I did get in over 2 hours of snow and ice shoveling so I suppose that is some form of outdoor exercise.  Hopefully I can get the bike out this summer and put some miles on before Lance comes back this summer (not that I could even keep up with him for one block). I know I am spoiled when it comes to weather.  Being born and raised in San Francisco, I don't like or tolerate too cold or too hot.  For me, it's only "just right".  Even riding in the wind and rain today is NOTHING like you guys have it where you really have 4 seasons. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else! Take Care, Dennis

Hey Dan, Hope you are feeling well today. It is amazing, isn't it?  We've been through so much in our lives with the weight/health issues.  My goodness, as I approach my 47th birthday, I look back at #45 and remember thinking DAMN, if I don't do something, #50 isn't looking like a sure thing.  That's really sad. I am very grateful that I had WLS and look forward to making the best of it that I can. Take Care, Good Humor Man, Dennis

Cycling used to be my exersize of choice. In 1999-2001 I used to (at 288 lbs) cycle 20 miles rides 4 times a week around teh Trinity River in FtWorth, Texas. I have riden 20 miles as recent as May 2005 with my wife. I have an ass load of money in bikes and gear I can't wait to back too it.  CONGRATS it's amazing how you can build miles if you just start riding. Way to go!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Rob, Isn't it great to live by the water.  I don't know what it is...something primal, I think.  But it sure does something for me! Dennis

Don't know if I'll ever reach any kind of racing speed, but slow and steady is working for me!
