Back saga part 105
CB, Great that you’re proactive about getting past your pain. And that you’ve got your doc onboard working with you not just On You. I’m also Super glad (as resident "Men’s Board Pimp") That this place is here for you at this time. "Back in the Day….." there were a handful of guys lost in the sea of Estrogen That is the Main Board…. Now? Several Ministers, A Strip-Club Owner, and random ‘Associate Clergy,’ Law Enforcers and Firemen, Guards, Coaches, Teachers, Retirees, Musicians, Salesmen of every product imaginable, enough Computer Dudes to start several firms, Every division of Cell Service, Med-Techs and Nurses of every Variety, Artists, Singers, Chefs, A Hair Stylist, Media Consultants, A Lumber Jack, Woodcrafters, Furniture makers, Factory Workers, Lawyers, a Liquor Store Owner, Students, Every Branch of the Retired Military, Franchise Managers, Pharmacist, Software Engineers, College Professors, Finance Advisors/Bankers, Insurance Agents, a Physical Therapist, Appraisers, Administrators, Analysts, Managers, Agents, etc….. All dropping in and connecting via the same glow of terminals across the country…. Forgive the profusion of Emoticons... But just making a point…. There’s a huge Crowd Of Guys out here, Pulling together, Understanding and Sharing Life in a very Unique Manner. Where a "Normal" Mess- Board can get caught up in "Me, Me, Me!!" Men tend to hang in a Pack that is about "The Team!" Get enough shoulders under something, And lifting it Is just a matter of When, not If ! For Many Guys, -The last time they had such a place where they could run and "metaphorically" Fat-Boy-Cannonball into the pool while shouting --- "Watch This Sh*t Dude!!!!" - And where "boyishness" was approved of and appreciated Was Way Too Long Ago. It's a Fun Bunch, And Know that we're "Here For You Man!" (wait, there's a beer Commercial in there somewhere.....? Best Wishes- Dx (back to the usual '3-emoticon limit.' Just had to play!)

I must apologize for not posting very much lately. In fact I told Ann today that I have to send you an email and update you on my back problems. Seems like we are twin brothers when it comes to back problems. I have been to two neuro surgeons this month and both say that surgery will not work for me and they would not even try to operate. They are top notch surgeons so I feel they know what they are talking about. They referred me to Pain Mgt Doc with their group to talk about having a pain simulator put in. It sounds kind of what you are talking about. They do a trial first to be sure it will take care of my pain and if so they then implant the unit like they do a pace maker. I found that my regular Pain Mgt Docs office do these, so I have an appointment in Indianapolis Friday afternoon to get the ball rolling.
Here is a link to the company that makes this equipment. I might want to take a look at it.

I have also been spending some time on this website also, as I look for something to end some or all of the pain.
Also I have been remembering Chili during my prayer times. I know what it is like to know you have to loose a dog. My dog Gertie is almost 19 years old and only has 3 legs, she lost one 8 years ago when she got to close a truck. She has always gotten along fine except now she is old and it hard for her to get around and she can see or hear well, but does not seem to be in pain so we keep putting it off knowing that we are going to have to have her put to sleep. She has given us so much love over her life time, it going to hard to say good bye to her.
I will be sure to drop you an email over the weekend. You are always in my prayers my friend. Drop me a note when you need someone just to listen to what is on your mind.
I agree I do not know what I would do without the guys on this board.
Keep the faith; we are going to see the end of pain soon.
Dan
