I Guess I'm Done
I got my Surgery on Jun 21. I was 5'9" 258, In mid Dec I weighed 175. Today I am still 175... not a bad place to be, so I'm not worried or complaining. I guess I could "buckle down" and lose 5 more pounds and "be normal". I supose I thought I would not "lose all I could lose" in the 1st 6 months. Maybe I farted?

nope Dave, you farted! any loss is a good loss. you're like me, we're relative lightweights when we started and our loss takes a lot longer. the bigger you are the faster you drop. i'm 5'8 and was 287# i'm now 145#. i lost all mine before the first year but i got sick in that time too so no fair. just set some goals for yourself and try to make them. that's usually the best plan. i think there's a member in here that's really into motivation and he linked a site or two. the point is he was saying you make short and long term goals but write them down. make it real. so maybe make an exercise routine with an expected weight loss by X amount of time. make it reasonable though so you don't go ape**** trying to make it. just build on the small successes. my brother is doing jenny craig, wish i could have done that and he's doing fantastic. he just sets little goals and really doesn't do much exercise other than walking a lot. you can reach your goal and remember, you're only 6 months out. You have a lot of time to lose more weight. so hang in there and congrats on your half year.....Carbonblob
