Howdy Gents. It's time for check-in number 3 for February. How are you doing? My stats thus far: Last Month: 144 miles (105 eliptical, 39 stationary bike) Miles through February 7: 21 (18 eliptical, 3 stationary bike) Miles through February 15: 48 (37 eliptical, 11 stationary bike) Miles through February 21: 8 (4 eliptical, 4 stationary bike) Total miles February: 77 (55 eliptical, 14 stationary bike) February Goal: 120 (90 eliptical, 30 stationary bike) Percent of month elapsed: 75% Percent of personal goal completed: 64% Percent of 50 mile challenge completed: 154% I've toned down the cardio a bit and upped the weights in an effort to get the scale moving. Also upped my protein and decreased my carbs. Not as worried about making my monthly goal at this point. I think it might be working. I'll know more next week. Stronger everyday. -Daniel

Daniel,  You rock dude!! Keep up the great work man. The scales WILL move for you brother...you're way too close to the Deuce to give up now. If it works, work it. Goals can be adjusted as long as there is some good out of it all. You're doing great. Troy

Daniel, Some day I hope to get to the level you and AJ are at, but I am doing better thanks to your support.    I've never been one too keen on exercise, but since I purchased my new treadmill last month, I've improved.  Last month I did 10 miles and this month I'm at 25 miles.  Work has this program right now called HealthierFeds Physical Activity Challege.  Some type of exercise is required for 30 minutes, 5 days a week for 6 weeks.  It's some added motivation for me.   Hopefully when the weather improves and I can start running 5Ks, I'll increase my level.  In the meantime, thanks for the motivation. Floyd. Exercise as habit instead of chore is something that I'm still working on. I marvel how much I miss it when I miss a workout. The old me laughs at the new me. The new me laughs at the old me. It's some kinda wonderful.  Congrats on your progress thus far! You'll be up to 50 in no time. -Daniel

really amazed at what you, scott, aj and some of the other guys can do. i walk about two miles and i'm pooped. actually, my back just plain gives out so maybe this new therapy will help me so i can walk further. you guys rock, i wish i could be as healthy and do cardio like you guys. when it gets warmer though i'm going to swim. my back likes that! so that's a good cardio for me. keep up the good work guys.....Carbonblob

CB. Your muscles intimidate my muscle. Many different streams run into the same river. You said you added some cardio before your lifting. I'm sure that two miles is sufficient given your strength training.

Hey Dan, i'm hoping my cardio is enough. i know i'll get all i need when i swim again. my back just can't handle the walking but you're right, it's probably enough. also my treadmill helps and i work out very fast for cardio benefits. still, there's no way i could keep up with you guys! carbonblob
