I was in our local grocery and saw some Sugar Free Red Bull in the cooler.  I hadn't had a Red Bull since the surgery so I picked one up and I was pleasantly surprised.  I really couldn't tell the difference between it and the regular version. Does anybody know if there is anything in Red Bull that is bad for those of us post surgery.  I don't think I'd ever drink a bunch of it, but for an occasional pick me up, I kind of like it. Thanks Scott M

It's got a lot of carbonation, and I have to assume that the caffeine in it would also be a dieuretic.  Don't know much else about it.  I loved it pre-WLS, but have left it alone since. Best of luck - Brian

Huh...for some reason I didn't think it was carbonated.  I'll pour some in a glass next time to see if there are any bubbles.  Thanks

Yup, you're right.  I read the label, just didn't read the front of the can... Thanks AJP

Thanks for the info Paul. I know that there a different kind of carbination.   If I remember correctly Guinness is carbonated with nitrogen, which causes it to clear from the bottom up.  I could be wrong about that, but it sounds cool. Man do I miss Guiness...lol Scott M

Scott: You have hit me where I live. Sugar free red bull.. is my current vice... Prior to wls I drank 16oz sugar free rock-star.. by the case.. Post surgery the sugar free rock star was way too crbonated ( huge bubbles).. burping etc. I sampled 9oz. sugar free lightly carbonated red bull.. and to my surpise.. no problems with burping etc. The Stomach / balloon is an urban WLS MYTH. You cannot fill a balloon with a hole in each end, which our stomach has.. jusy my opinion... The one thing I love about sugar free red bull is the vitamin  b6 &b12... even if I lose 1/2 of it.. it is still more than one days recomended amount. I buy sugar free red bull by the case, I have 4 to 6 a day... I am hooked.. it is my starbucks.. it is my coffee... I feel that 1- 3 a day is a more apprpriate amount.. but alas..I have yet to cut down to that amount... I love the caffeine buzz.. I love how it kills my appitite.. I feel it accelerates my metabolisim.. and it helps my me burn calories.. This may not work for anyone else...take it or leave it ... By the way... Love your profile.. Kev-
