What an awesome feeling to step on the scale and see i've broken the century mark by 1lb. It's amazing how much better I feel. Walking more, quicker. Still can't eat real well and protein powder tastes like ass. I tried Champion Nutrition's sample pack. So far i'm not being real successful with em. I'm like all of you i'm sure. I have good days and bad days. I have noticed I need to really watch my sodium and carb intake. Some of the stuff i'm managing to keep down is a little high in one or other of those.  Dumping ( or what I think is my version of dumping) appears to be what I think i've read described as "Carb Coma." I had what I thought was some cereal that was OK. Whoa... Was I wrong. I ate a little bowl of it, 30 mins later I could not keep my eyes open. Literally. At least I didn't get violent nausea....

Hey, I was in your neck of the woods a couple weeks back. I went to visit family in Ft. Lauderdale.  Dude, 101 since Christmas. That's out of this world! I didn't have as much to lose, but it has taken me 6 months to get here, and I'm still one pound behind you. I feel great as well. Good luck getting to your goal weight. It will happen.

Day of surgery weight  352
Current weight 250
Total Lost 102
Height 6'3"
BMI 31

i was a relative lightweight to start but like ronnie it took me a long time to drop 100#. so good for you. i use the designer whey vanilla flavor. it tastes like nothing so give it a try. i agree i've tried a lot of others and they taste like ass too. i mix mine up with benefiber and creatine all into fat free nestle hot chocolate. it's great and then i add a little cool whip lite. i love it. however, i'll switch to milk in the summer when it's too hot to drink the chocolate. just remember though, the milk has more protein but more calories so i use skim milk. also, and this may not be an issue but milk will smooth out your skin so if you weight lift and want definition watch out for that......carbonblob

Actually, if you are sleepy after a load of carb, its a good chance you are sensative to insulin.   Lesson is the same though...lay off the carbs :)
