28 days

This past friday was 28 days nicotine free for me.  I'm not posting this as an attaboy or a fish for compliments or anything, but rather just  a milestone. Personally, I won't consider myself 'clean' until I hit the 100 days mark.  Which means this friday is the 1/3 of the way there mark.. :)  All in all, I feel pretty good. I still have some moments where the craving**** me.. but mostly, I go past them.  I have discovered also that my addictive personality comes to the front during each of the bad ones.  The internal conversation goes like this..  "Have a dip" "No." "Then eat something" "No" "Come on. You're thin enough. It won't hurt." "No." "Then have a beer..." That's about the point I wake up and slap myself.  There's a few generations of drunks in my family. I refuse to go down that path.  It's a little scarey.. but I am feeling more empowered each day too.
