SWA FART
JP,
Pgh is a nice city. I visit there occasionally. And, Scranton is only about 10 miles south of here. I grew up in the Green Ridge section of Scranton. Perhaps our paths have crossed before.
Isn't flying a pain. I usually fly 75,000 to 100,000 miles in a year. And I'm on long flights to Asia. A frequent flight for me is Scranton to LAX (via ORD). Then LAX to Singapore. I take the direct flight, which is 18 hours! And up until my surgery 5 weeks ago, I was a size 60 pants. However, I do get to fly business class. But still it is a loooong flight.
My son loves the Eagles. I'm not a big football fan, but I do like Green Bay.

I have a friend that was the lead engineer on the elevated highway in Singapore. He lived there for a few years on the project. Says it is a very interesting place. I have been everywhere in North America, but never overseas, sure would like to someday.
Frequent airline travel will suck the life out of you like few other things can. I use to fly a lot of legs every month, but none over 5 hours coast to coast, and like you I usually flew 1st or business class on the really long flights.
I lost my companion pass on Southwest this year, because I did not make enough legs. That is the first time in 3 years not to have it.
I like the travel, to be honest, as long as it does not get to be too much. I go crazy in the office if I am couped up for too long. I'll like it even more as the weight drops.
I never spent much time in NW PA, Mary and I actually met in Texas, shortly after we both happened to move here. Glad you are not an Eagles fan! Even though I have not lived in Pgh for 20 years, I am still a die hard Steeler fan. Packers is OK, as Favre should have been a Steeler. SO should have Urlacher, but that is another story.
Take care.
