Post FART Update
WOW:
Well no one recognized me until I spoke. My friends that are 35 and under were so happy for me.
Thoses in their 40's & 50's were very wary... "do you feel good ?" are you O.K. ?
Everyone with a "food" and / or weight issue; said the same thing: " You are not going to lose anymore are you ?... You need to eat... you need to gain some weight"
What a trip... at 320lbs. I was never asked..." do you feel good?".. my answer would have been HELL NO.. I can't wipe my ass... I sweat.. I sleep w/ a CPAP mask... nothing I wear fits... I worry about a heart attack daily... I think about the food I am not suposed to eat 24 hours a day... I eat alone so I can pork-out big time...I dwell on all of my failed diets ( you know lose 50lbs. / gain 65lbs).
To quote the Gratefull Dead:
"What a long strange trip it's been"
and it is just the START !!!!
get ready for some weird reactions Kev. you might be surprised to find some people are really not for this surgery. they just love to tell you all the failures. screw em. for me, i think people were afraid to say something because they thought I was sick! once they see you bouncing around they'll come around and those that don't, who cares.
there's always been two schools of thought about the surgery. some guys sing the gospel and others, like myself, tell no one. there's no right or wrong, just what works for you. I really hope everybody is in your corner. it makes it so much more fun. it really is too bad we can't go around telling everyone how great it is to wipe your ass without a telescopic pole, gloves and a trained monkey. keep up the good work......Carbonblob
