Those guys that have been hanging out in the Locker Room for a while might recall that I was all about the "...and don't forget to stay in touch on the board, there are lot's of other guys waiting to hear your story as your journey continues..." yadayadayada. And now look at me! I've been pretty much MIA for months...no good excuses, oh I've got plenty to choose from, just no GOOD ones. Lot's has been going on in my little world, sold my business after a long, sometimes successful run, class for my ordination is getting to that last semester let's get serious stage...but the worst thing I've done is let myself stay away from this board as much as I have. In the process, I've allowed myself to slide away from "the plan" too! SHOCKING? gosh, you mean this WLS stuff isn't all just a sweet ride? Well, reality check...when they say it's a TOOL, they usually mean it's a TOOL! Nothing drastic happening, I'm just in a mean stalled stage and haven't availed myself of my own saged wisdom I've tossed out so often before. I haven't "gained" anything over the last few months, but I really haven't lost anything either. My 1st surgiversary is coming up in like 6 weeks or so. So I urge you all to YELL AT ME, KICK ME, MOCK ME, BERATE ME...get my lazy butt in WLS gear and get on with this thing!!! Are you up to the challenge?

Jeff, You're darn right that you deserve to be kicked in the butt. We've missed you. Where the heck have you been? I would "towel snap" you if we had an emoticon for it. Don't fret or worry about your stall; we all have them. Just pull yourself up by the bootstraps and get your 'not-so-fat-a$$-anymore' back into the locker room. We are all here to support each other. There are a lot of new guys on the bench and a long list of pre-op guys that need our support. We need to help them out. I'll see you on the Sunday weigh in. No Excuses! May Your Lantern Burn Bright, Paul

Padre Confession is good for the soul and also good to get yourself back in the game. It is hard to win when you no longer show up in the locker room. You are forgiven now go say 1000 Hail Mary's and go and sin no more in your WLS Journey. We need your input my friend. Reall though I glad to hear from you. I have been wondering what happened to you. God Be With You my Friend Dan (Methodist Padre In Training)

+Padre+ I don't know you YET. But I will throw in my two cents. I am pre-op and check in everyday so that I can prepare myself for the surgery. I count on the experienced losers to help out. Sounds like you have been slacking. You will be forgiven for your mistakes if you are serious about coming back, give me 10 push ups and 10 crunches to show your sincerity. Talk to you after you have completed your penance. drjco

Hello Padre! Glad to hear you haven't gained, which is pretty amazing if you think about it - you're banded, so no malabsorption. That alone shows that you have hung on to at least some part of the program. The work of the Lord can't be based solely on "content." Just think how many more people you can bring into the flock if you are both righteous AND *studly*. You dwell in the temple of God - time to finish rebuilding the tabernacle! But do be careful of Arnold. Some groups say he is the anti-Christ: http://www.scatteredsheep.com/arnold_schwarzenegger.htm Get with the program and brighten that light! Love, Dave

Hey +Padre+, Like you said, no good excuses. We have plenty but none good. Since you are going for your ordination, I wanted to pass on to you something a pastor told me not too long ago that stuck with me.... "If the body is the temple, the devil wants you fat" Your commitment to your health and what's right along the WLS journey is an act of worship, just as if you were serving on Sunday. The ministry is littered with pastors and priests that get too caught up in the ministry part that they forget to take care of the temple. Make that as important as your daily quiet time. Everyone here is in the same boat, or we wouldn't be on this board. We didn't do things the way we should. We need your input and wisdom on this board, and those you serve need your success and testimony. Don't leave us hanging and welcome back. Greg

Me next.... Well I have missed the hell out of you....now let me beat you balck and blue with the good book.... YOu know we have had another "Padre" type testing the waters, and we had a pretty good discussion on "social" eating...it must be really hard when youare ment to be socialable....you can't be a hermit like me and dave in Japan...just hide in the gym...if you actually have to care about people .......you know the "we had the preacher over for dinner"...and everyone makes banana pudding....tough life Ok well judging by the weather reports, you have to help all the neighbors shovel the drive...good for them, and good for you..... now don't let your smelly AZZ be a stranger... russ Ps...did you read about Randall's house burning?????
