Eddie Murphy Can Kiss My Ass!

sorry for invading your board..but it's interesting to read a man's point of view on some things....but...eddie murphy was very funny in this movie..not only does he spoof fat people..but sweetheart he spoofs black folks too...and sometimes it's just pain ole hilarious....not meant to be taken offensively it is meant for laughs....i saw the movie friday night 2/9/07 ...it was very funny

You know what? You're right. Now that I've revisited this post after a few days... I've realized that I might have come off as overly-sensitive. I certainly can take a joke (as well as hand out a few) and, I'm really not easily offended. Maybe I was just a bit cranky when I constructed this rant. I guess my biggest problem with Eddie here is that he's gone to the same well for comedic material one too many times for my liking. I say, bring back the Eddie Murphy we saw in "Delirious" and "Raw"... Now, that would restore my faith in the power of his comedy! It's cool AJ...the movie was just entertainment..a whole bunch well i think the majority of us black folks that saw it didn't like it..i thought it was funny...however it did make a whole lot of ******' money...good for EDDIE for that.....he however is a total mess right now with the divorcing the wife of all his damn kids thing (and they got like 5-6) and with supposedly being the father (BABY DADDY) to scary (THE ONLY black) spice girl....lol.....now he's dating tracey edmonds who is BABYFACE's ex wife (the man who wrote and sang whippappeal-the song-and he's also the owner of LaFACE record company, he produces Usher and a whole host of other well known artists..he's some sort of millionaire) but all in all Eddie Murphy is a mess..however i find that movie entertaining...it also offended Asian folks and folks of the Jewish ethnicity too.....but it's cool.....i could have waited for it to come on Pay per View or DVD...... I'm almost 3 years post op and used to get so offended when i was like maybe 8 mos out and guys would say "oh you are a nice size, i'm glad you're cute and average sized, i don't like big gurls" but i had to get over that...because they didn't meet me in my big capacity...i say that to say...people say and do things inadvertantly for their own interest or gain..he wanted to make money and probably didn't think about how the characters could put out negative stereotypes and stigmas for ANY and EVERYONE.... I heard that Charlie Murphy, his brother, who is on the now defunct Chappelle Show (now that show is some funny **** I have all seasons on DVD, and Dave Chappelle doesn't seem to care who you are he will make fun of your ass), wrote the movie in like 3 hours or something like that!!!!
