Topic: any support groups in or around leominster/fitchburg area?
If there is could you let me know where? thanks in advance.  If there isnt, would anyone be interested in attending a group if i started  a support group in the area?  I think this could be really fun and informative for everyone involved and i would encourage inclusion of everyone no matter what SURGERY you have, in fact i think the more diverse the better.  I know i am still a newbie to surgery, but i think as a veteran dieter you all can relate to my struggle.  So if anyone is interested give me a shout out.

peace

I don't dump either.. I try to keep my sugar 20 g or under even though I know I could eat way more.. I found myself eating m&m's on Easter.. I Had about 10 and was like wtf and I doing? but they went down soooo good, and most things taste bad to me and those tasted good!! oh well I didn't have this damn surgery not to get to goal!! I just keep telling myself stick to it, eat right.. when you get to goal you can treat yourself to something yummy once a week but for now.. don't cheat, don't cheat, don't cheat!!  We can do it!!

I hear yah on the clothes, everything looks like **** on me, my pants are falling off.. on the one hand I feel fab, I"ve lost 50 lbs in such a short time.. but then  you pull on your jeans that bag down in front and hang from your hips and it makes you feel like poo!!! but I have decided only to buy new pants when they fall off without unbuttoning them! lol I'm getting close!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Eye on the prize baby, Eye on the prize!!

Thanks for the info Jeff.  Good luck on your surgery.  I was very frustrated because when I was working full-time I had good health insurance but my employer took an exclusion for WLS for lower premiums so I couldn't move forward.  But I developed health issues due to my weight and now I'm on Social Secuity Disability.  My Commonwealth Care Forward coverage (which I have to pay for) does cover the surgery, so I'm finally able to move ahead.

I look forward to seeing your post-op posts!

Mary

Topic: Cross post - My Fitness Pal?
In my efforts to get back on track to stop gaining and start losing again, I wanted to try
My Fitness Pal. So my question is... do you like it?  Is it helping you?
Just curious when you set up your 'goals' what did you use for categories?

Net calories consumed?
Carbs?
Protein?
Fat?

Also what amounts did you use?  Thanks, Lisa

Topic: Start my 2 week lliquids today!!
I'm actually getting a bit excited, yeah about having liquids to drink .
More like it's getting soooo close.

I had to wait a bit longer b/c my surgeon was going away for a week in April so this too 3 weeks of surgery off his schedule (he won't operate if he won't be here for the 2 weeks after). But May 9th is coming up fast!!!

My 2 children have agreen to act as my diet police, to make sure I don't cheat (though I can have 1 meal/day which I will probably have as lunch).

T-minus 14days!!!!!

That's why it is good to post here and attend support meetings, you will find that you are not alone.  Everyone on here is always willing to lend support too.
