Day 3 and things are still going okay. DD is complaining of a sore throat, brought her to the peds and neg for rapid strep, but they sent off a 24 hour culture so we'll have to wait for that result. I hope I don't get sick!! Purell, Purell, Purell!!!

Topic: RE: BIDMC - Anyone seen Dr. Andrews?
I just wanted to update this post in case anyone goes searching for information on Dr. Andrews, since I didn't find any.
He has done over 100 RNY surgeries, so I am much more confident in his abilities. My husband came with me and we both felt comfortable with him. I can't speak for the surgery itself yet but I just wanted to put out that he has more experience than I thought.

Topic: RE: Cross post - My Fitness Pal?
LOVE IT! I found it to be the most user friendly and YES, it helped tremendously - I think journaling everything you eat/do makes us a bit more accountable. I track Protein , Calories, Carbs, Sugar (in that order). I liked it most because I was using an iTouch and I didn't have to be on line to update what I was doing, it'd automatically sync changes when I got on line.
I did this until just the other day when I invested in a FitBit and use the site so I track everything in one place!!! Only been a few days but loving it... worth the $!!!

"Create your day"
I had my surgery at UMASS, it was about 9 months from the time I went to the orientation till I had surgery (which I was told was average). Even though it felt like a very long time, it gives you time to educate yourself, prepare mentally, and physically for it. In the long run I was very happy with that. I was happy with the whole experience there. Good luck to you!!!
