Topic: RE: Where do you?
Someone just told me about a Bariatric Shope near Fauce Corners in Dartmouth. But, for the most part I get all my vitamins at CVS (when they go on sale bogo) I get biotin, citrical, centrum silver, b complex w/b12, iron and prilosec. But, order the vit d3 from vitalady.
Topic: cross post from RNY forum - one year out
I had my RNY 9/13/10 and just had my one year followup last week. I had gotten down to 132 late July and have gotten there 3 more times since but every time I immediately jump back up to 135/136. I've figured out that this is where my body is comfortable so if I lose a little bit more, great, if not, I'm very happy where I am. I now have the outlook that I am trying to maintain rather than actively trying to lose. It's sort of a scary place for me because I could slip back to old habits but I will keep weighing myself everyday and if I notice some pounds creep back in I will start journaling my food again and increase my exercise to nip it in the bud. I have my plastic surgery consultation set up for Nov 28 and I'm pretty excited for it. I'm going to check out the plastics forum to see what people have to say.

Hi..thank you so much guys!!! I have looked at walmarts near me and only vanilla and caramel (which i bought from starbucks already) They never have any other flavors. I tried Christmas tree shop and they have regular not SF. I have actually heard of the one in Dartmouth, but have been to lazy to drive down..LOL I think I will hit it this weekend though. I heard they have calcium chews that taste like starburst.

There is a great store in Danvers, MA called My Low Carb Life. They sell almost all the DaVinci syrups plus a ton of other WLS friendly foods.
I shop there all the time... they are awesome!!

Just like Right Said Fred, I got to "do my little turn on the cat walk" at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center's fashion show a few years ago and it was a great feeling of success and renewal!
God Bless You and enjoy your transformation!!

Topic: RE: New in town..... looking for advice
I did find out that I either qualify for commonwealth care or MassHealth. My friends keep telling me to pick "Neighborhood" for the plan. I keep going back and forth between all of them. I don't know what to pick. I know that Neighborhood has a lot of steps that you have to go through first. I thought that depended on the doctor but I guess not. My boss offered me BCBS but it is a deductible plan with $1,000 deductible. If I have to pick a PCP again I would go with my old Dr. who is out of Newton Wellesley. She accepts Neighborhood and BCBS but I will have to find out about the others. I heard that Boston Hospital and Brigham have the best bariatric surgery program. I thought it would be better to get the opinions from you, the people that have actually been through it.
Topic: Transformations 2011
Last night was the annual fashion show at St Elizabeth's. It was a really nice event, there were 20 or so participants who had weight loss surgery. We submitted before and after pics and wrote a paragraph on how the surgery has changed our lives. Once our testimonial was read we took a walk down to the front of the room and got a rose and a hug from Dr Pecquex. There was a nice buffet dinner and family and friends were invited. I will post pics once I get them developed and get a picture cd to download. The transformations were amazing and everyone looked great. I was very honored to have been able to participate.
