Topic: RE: So Close to Onederland I Can Taste It
Oh well so much for New Years Onederland.  I actually gained a pound.  ARGH !!!  Does not help that my grandma who is in a nursing home took a turn for the worse.  She already has COPD and this week she developed a urinary tract infection and bilateral pneumonia.  She is not eating or drinking and things are not looking well.  I have been spending so much time there and I am not eating well due to what is available to me.  I suppose the eating differently added with sitting there for hours not being active is causing the weight gain.

Like you said I will be there soon enough.

Dear Coreen
I sure hope by now the nerves have settled with all the responses you have had. I had such an easy time almost three years ago. It is hard to believe. I am so happy that I had the surgery. Focus on the outcome. You know that you are doing what will get you to a better life.
Many blessings in 2011~

Dear Lucy:
I had Dr Gazmuri but Dr Partridge came in on the weekend to visit. She is an excellent surgeon. I had a private room at NWH because the roomie I had at first had all sorts of psychological issues. She could not calm down. My PM nurse found me a private room at the same rate as the shared room. This did help when I could get some sleep. Lots of interuptions to check on my well being!! But isn't that what we like about the hospital.
I know it was hard to have all those students but they need to learn. I am so grateful for this surgery.
I could do so much more this past fall when I traveled. I was more active and always on the go. I found that it was easy to care for myself because I prepared. I spent five weeks in Europe! I came back nine pounds lighter.

Topic: RE: Lisa... can you give me the details of your Bridgewater mtgs for my Aunt in Weymouth?
Very welcome!

Flowers meeting are the 2nd Wednesday of every month at her house (you can PM her for her addres) at 6pm. Very, very informal as well but hella fun!! All women and Miss Ella makes an appearance as well! (Julie and Karrie's daughter!) Lucy the Pug is always there as well lol

Flower always has a bunch of WLS friendly appetizer food out as well. Myself, Catherine, Lisa, Lynn, Julie and Karrie from here on the MA board attend Flower's meetings! We usually stay until about 9 or so or whenever we decide to head out hahah

Her couch is super comfy so we plop down on there and gossip!

Hi Candie I am in the same boat.. I started this journey in October I have completed all my pretesting.  I do not have a surgery date however I am meeting with the surgeon  for the first time on Jan 6th.  I have changed the appointment few times because I have not lost the ten pounds.  Therefore I am feeling a little nervous about meeting the Doctor this week. good luck to you.

We are lucky to have such great hospitals!  Every time I think about moving somewhere warmer, that does occur to me!  Hope you guys are staying warm!  And thanks for all the information!
