I'm a little nervous to get too excited!!!
After my RNY was cancelled for Tuesday 1/11, I got a call today with my new date... 1/24 - MONDAY!!!! Fortunately I don't have to wait too long.
Soo stay tuned ~ lets hope it doesn't change again!!!

Topic: Gallbladder coming out tomorrow
So, I am having my gallbladder out tomorrow. I am an add on to the surgical schedule so I don't know what time. I am realizing that I have probably had gallstones for some time.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow, AND - Idon't think I will be making it to HOWL on Monday. (Kate, we will meet up some time in this life :)

Don't forget to call your insurance company or check their policy guide making sure that you'll be covered!!!

update: I called umass and they said that they do VSG surgery!!! So excited! I am starting my classes in February !!!!!

I had Dr Benedetto. He is a nice guy. I unfortunately got an infection after my surgery so I was not very happy with that. I had to go back into the hospital for another week which was horrible. I blame it partly on him. I guess the camera was stuck inside me for a little while and he couldn't get it out. That caused the infection. Anyways....it's unusual for that sort of thing to happen. It was just my luck I guess. He is a nice guy but sometimes rushes you in appointments. I probably would have picked the other surgeon Dr Buckley if I had known more about the two.

I had my LapBand to VSG revision done on 9/7/10 with Dr. Jones at BIDMC in Boston. Feel free to ask anything!!

Thanks guys! The first week was rough but now I feel pretty good. Suprising the change! I'm working on getting in a lot of liquids but definitely doing better each day!
