you really are doing well. Congrats on your surgery and it does get easier. I ended up losing my weight very quickly and honestly wish that is was a bit slower. Just remember this wasn't meant to be a "quick fix" but a lifestyle change. And also remember you are still only a month out and can still have some swelling from the surgery. Keep up the good work and keep working on the fluids and protein. It really helps you and when you don't drink enough you do start to have issues. Congrats again and take care. :)

You're doing fine!  Everyone loses at different rates.  Focus on getting your water and protein in (it's a LOT easier to get the protein in once you can eat real food), and the weight will come off.  I started losing quicker once I was up to the full 60g protein/day... plus I felt better :-)

Topic: not much luck for plastic surgery being covered
I had my gastric bypass surgery Oct. 27, 2009 and have lost over 180 pounds and am well under my original goal weight. I felt pretty ok with my body knowing I had to have some surgery done but I wasn't as saggy as I am now. I am only 28 and look horrible. Plus have been having issues with rashes and hormonal issues that the doctors believe is due to the excessive skin yet my insurance BMC HealthNet won't help cover. Not sure what to do since I absolutley hate my body now and it is seriously affecting my life. I don't like to get compliments because they say I look so thin but I see all the skin and think they are crazy. I also have stopped being intimate with my hubby because I hate anyone looking at my body. I live in MA and was looking for some others who may have been through this. I am a mom and a college student so the full estimate from PS was about 45000 and there is no way I can afford that. Welcome any help and support given. Thanks.

How about some flax seed? Not the ground stuff- the whole seed? It sorta looks like grape nuts and has that same texture. Worth a shot!

Topic: RE: Never trust a fart !!
how the hell has it been 2 weeks already? feels like you just went!!! I ordered all these samples from places and was trying them out to see what I liked so I could order for post op.. but I've stopped and decided to save them for post op since everyone seems to say their tastes change.  That makes it hard to plan and have things on hand and ready to go for after.. but what can you do!!  I guess I won't stock up like I was planning and just a few different things so I won't panic and see what I like from there.. what a pain huh!!

Glad you're doing better, farts and all!
