talked to my dr because I tried rice milk (I hate soy) and that made me nauseaus so he goes..maybe its the shake mix..sometimes we get used to it and then we sorta reject it after a while..try whey protein and dabble with some foods. UGH! I am able to eat eggs now and milk is fine if its a glass by itself. I can have mashed potatoes and cream of wheat and jello and pudding and applesauce. I havent dared try anything thicker or more substancial... :)

I've got BCBS HMO Blue New England. No requirements otherthan your doc needs to deem surgery "medically necessary"! I was approved for a lapband in 07 then RNY in 2010! I've never seen a bill!! Just follow the Brigham requirements and you'll be good to go!

I had BCBS HMO. It is by far one of the easiest insurance companies to deal with. They rarely deny a claim. They have absolutely no requirements as far as pre-op classes. The only requirements I had were either 1.) BMI higher than 35. Or 2.) BMI lower but also have co-morbidies.

You should be A-Ok Best of luck !!

If your having trouble with milk, as some of us do, try switching to soy milk or lactaid. I made the permanent switch to soy milk years ago and never looked back. Personally I prefer Silk Light Vanilla Soymilk, but 8th Continent isn't bad either. It also adds more protein to your diet than cows milk.

Congrats on the weightloss this far, keep up the good work!
