Surgery scheduled

My surgery for an open RNY is scheduled for Jan. 12 with Dr. Thayer at Newton-Wellesley. I've been thinking about this surgery for quite a long time. Once I started the 'formal' process of identifying a doctor/practice, everything has moved rather quickly. I've attended 2 group sessions so far and have 2 more to attend prior to surgery. I've been very impressed with the group at N-W so far. They have been responsive, informative and caring. I've been reading the message board for a few months now and have gleaned lots of information from so many of you willing to share your experience and concerns. Thank you.
