Lap Band Surgery @ Faulkner Hospital

Hi, I am new to this site. I am glad that I found it. I was wondering if anyone has had Lap Band surgery at the Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain? I am scheduled to have surgery on 1/18/06. I have been doing research for the past 2 years and have finally decided to have the surgery. As you can imagine I am very nervous. Does anyone have any advice for me in getting prepared mentally and physically. Thanks.

hi kim, i had my band on 11/14/05 at Tufts New England, i have lost 11lbs so far. for me surgery was not that difficult, the first few days you are sore but the drugs take care of that. By day 4 I was up and about....overall not a bad experience. You'll do just fine.......

Thanks for getting back to me. I know that you mentioned you where a little sore, how much time did you take off of work? Have you found that you are really hungry at this stage in the post surgery? Also any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated to help me along.
