My surgery is an open gastric banding type. anyone else out there had this?

Gloria, Your profile says adjustable gastric band. What made you switch to the open RNY? I am hoping to ge the band (in my head I had August 5th picked as my date) but it doesn't look like I will be scheduled until later this month. Good luck. Lynn
