Support Group-Spfld

Hey all, I looking for some more support around the springfield area. I know of Mercy's program but that is only every other week. Any help would be great!!! Thanks everyone in advance. Ellen

The great thing about the Mercy program is that it is small and intimate. I went to one meeting at Baystate, there were over 300 people there and they met only once a month. I was not welcomed there since my surgery was to be at Mercy. I had my surgery done on 12/06/04. I am age 57, I had Dr.Faillo and the doctors at the Mercy Comprehensive Weight management group all wonderful. I had super care on the bariatric floor at Mercy, great nursing staff. I have lost 90 pounds and I am doing fantastic. I am thankful every day for this surgery. Good luck with your journey. Monica

Strange to read you said you weren't welcomed at Baystate because your surgery was to be done at Mercy. I comment as I've been going to Baystate meetings since July 2004 and have met several pre-ops having surgery at Mercy and have not experienced any "hostility". Give it another chance - I don't think you'd be disappointed. Either way, I wish you continued success!!

June 9th, Women's Group - 6:00 - 8:00 pm June 10th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm June 20th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm June 27th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm (Post Op Only) July 5th - Women's Group - 6:00 - 8:00 pm July 6th - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm July 11th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm July 18th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm July 25th - 6:00 - 8:00 pm (Post Op Only) P.S. I prefer the Women's Only group. It's easier to talk about girl stuff without the boys around!!
