Lap-Band for Teenager 16+

Hi everyone, this is just for future reference.....I am the guinea pig, I will be banded shortly and depending on the results I may be interested in having my Daughter have the procedure.....Can you tell me if there are any Surgeons that will do the Lap-Band on a teen in the Western Massachusetts area? I think my surgeon requires the teen to be 18. (Pioneer Valley Surgical).

I know my surgeon has done people as young as 18, however he does RNY, not sure about Lap....it may also be worth posting this on the Lap Band Forum...Good luck with your upcoming surgery and tell your daughter I wish her the best! Ellen
