Here I go

I just had my first appointment scheduled for a lapband surgery consultation. June 6th! I think I'm lucky to have Harvard Pilgram Health Insurance, I'm hearing that people have had an easy time working with them. My doctor is Dr. Vernon at Brigham Womens. :D

Dr. Vernon is my surgeon and she performed my lap band surgery last October. I can't say enough good things about her! Also, Harvard Pilgrim is awesome. I was approved less than 48 hours after my paperwork was submitted. I'm in Pawtucket too and just thought I'd drop a note to say the very best of luck. You'll be very glad you're doing this. I know I am. Life couldn't be better. I have Blue Cross New England and they were great but I've heard from several people that Harvard was great too! If you ever need anything don't hesitate to let me know.

Good luck, I am very pleased that I had this surgery done in December 04. I live in the Western part of our state and had this surgery performed at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. I had a great surgeon, Dr.Faillo and a wonderful group of Weight Management specialist at Mercy. My journey started last June and I had approval from BCBS/Federal program within one week of my paperwork being submitted.
