DS Surgery in Boston? Anyone?

Has anyone had DS surgery or even bypass at a Boston Hospital? I am interested in hearing about your experience. If I have surgery, it will be in Boston. I will be asking my cardiothoracic surgeon Thursday, 24th about this. He is at MGH but is not a bariatric surgeon. He repaired my paraesophageal hernia in 1997.

Sally, last I checked (which was a year ago) no surgeons in Boston will do DS -- something about malprac insurance not covering it in Massachusetts I was told. Rudee

Thanks Rudee, That explains why I cannot find any surgeon who will perform that surgery in my area and it also makes me step back and take a second look at its risks as opposed to the gastric bypass
