hernia

I found out on Friday that I indeed have a hernia at one of the sites from my LapRNY, the one that had a wound infection. The surgeon bemoaned the fact that I was only the second of all his surgeries to have this happen and I had to be a nurse at his hospital! Anyway, it doesn't have to be done right away and I am wondering what impact a hernia repair has on insurance coverage for abdominoplasty? I have heard some people have had the abdominoplasty covered because the hernia repair was done at the same time, but from where this is I don't see how they would be connected.
