Lap Band Surgery

How is recovery on this procedure? I plan on having this procedue soon

Jeannine I had band surgery last November at NEMC. I stayed in the hospital one night, some people go home the same day. The first three days home I had some pain. While I was sitting, standing or lying down everything was fine. Getting in or out of bed, climbing stairs, going to the bathroom, coughing and laughing were no fun. Plan on taking it easy reading or watching TV during this period. My wife was very helpful and kept my active 4 year old boy away from me most of the time. The first week I didn't have much energy. I drove to work day six but went home early. No problems after the first week. At 2 weeks I was doing most things with no pain. At 6 weeks I went skiing. Hope this helps. Richard
