What does an angel mean
An angel is someone from the boards or your support group who will check in after your surgery and report back to the boards with news. It does not have to be someone post-op. It can be anyone who you feel comfortable with checking up at your hospital by phone, with your family or in person and letting everyone know how you are doing. This of course is the minimal job description. An angel can be as supportive or helpful as you and s/he wants and needs to be. My angel Donna lives down the street from me, but we have never met! I spoke with her and her sister after her surgery and reported back to the board and she will do the same for me. It is nice to know there is one particular person that you can contact on that big day and in the immediate recovery period when you may not be getting online much yourself. Just ask for an and I'm sure one will come!
