Questions on Testing--lap band

I am at the prelim.stage of the process. I have a consulation in 1 mos . with Dr.Lautz at Brigham & Woman's. What type of testing is done before you get the green light for surgery?

Joan I got the band at the New England Medical Center. I had psych evaluation, nutritionist, Internist (like a physical), 8 weeks pre-surgery group one hour a week. A few days before surgery there are a bunch of things like EKG, breathing tests, ultrasound to look for gall stones, blood work, meeting with nurse, meeting with anesthesiologist. Richard
