anyone have BCBS PPO? I have a Q!

We have BCBS PPO 90/70 plan... I have my first consult on July 22, but I wanna know now, how much of the surg does it cover? I already know that I meet the criteria to have it covered (BMI, etc) but how much am I gonna end up paying? something? nothing? what?

Hello, I have Empire blue which is a PPO. They covered everything of the surgery and stay in the hospital 100% for the exception of my deductable of 1000$

Good Morning Alyson I have BC/BS PPO and they covered everything except my psych evaluation before surgery (He is not on their provider list which was $155) and my in hospital psych evaulation to release me (I was in the bathroom when she - same group - came and she asked me - through the door - if I wanted to go home. I said yes. She said OK and charged me $135!). The only other thing I had to pay was for the TV in my room! I have a co-pay of $15 and so I pay that for every doctor's and weight management visit. Hey Alyson I have Independant Blue Cross and I am on the 90/10 plan. (they pay 90% - I pay the remainding 10%). I got a bill from Newton Wellesley for my portion of it which was $1300.00 - and they will work out a payment plan with you. I have to call them, I just keep forgetting to call! Dear Alyson: I have BCBS PPO. It's Empire BCBS out of NYState. Not sure if it's the 90/70 plan, but they confirmed by phone for me this week that the surgery is covered at 90% with no-deductible and a $200 co-pay. My lap-band surgery is scheduled for 7/13 at NEMC. Hope this helps. Best, Bob in Bridgewater
