This is for anyone who has had Dr. Robinson as a surgeon. The question is....Did they measure your height at the first initial consultation?? I know they will weigh you but did they measure your height? I need to know as soon as anyone can post who has had Dr. Robinson. I appreciate it and I know that the question seems ridiculous. Thanks. The most likely answer is that in order to accurately calculate your BMI, the doctor needs your weight and height to do the math. The higher the BMI, the more likely surgery is a better option. Co-morbidities play a bigger part in the decision (Insurance Payment) the lower the BMI. Generally you must have a BMI of 40.0+ Rick 360/328/270 RNY-open 02/02/04

I think I remember them doing that....especially since BMI is a calculation of weight in relation to height. can't remember though
