April 29th...

I waited about one month but I think that was because they were waiting for approval from my insurance company. The day I got a call from Dr. Schneider's office I received a letter from my insurance company saying I had approval for the surgery. I'll be praying you get a date soon!

Thank you Brenda. It has been 5 weeks and no paperwork has gone to the insurance company yet. I'm a little more than frustreated at this piont. But your day is right around the corner!! WOOHOO!!

I am going to have the open RNY at BID but I haven't gotten to see the surgeon yet. As a matter of fact I called today to find out why I haven't heard anything yet. They called me 2 weeks ago because my mental health evaluation was delayed but it should be there by now. How long after you met with the surgeon did you get a date? I started this process in mid-January, just curious. I have to schedule it around school too. Donna

I had my first appointment in October and it seemed about 6 months total...but I called them back in May of 2003 and didn't get a call for an appointment until October. Good luck!
