Surgery 12/29

I am scheduled for surgery on the 29th of December with Dr. Tarnoff at Tufts Medical. I am a special case in that I have type 1 diabetes. I would like to know if there are any other type 1 diabetics who have had the surgery? and if there is anyone who had the surgery with Dr. Tarnoff? Any advice would be great on the laproscopic surgery? Thank you

I have to answer no to both questions -- but if you go to the home page for the state board and click on Bariatric Surgeons you will see Dr. Tarnoff listed -- click on VIEW and there are lots of comments on him. Well, I myself do not have diabetes, but my uncle just recently had the gastric bypass and he has type 2 diabetes and he is doing wonderfully. He was nervous but everthing turned out good, he was nervous about the healing of the incision but it is healing up pretty well, He's about a month post op. Good luck and keep us informed. Kelly
