four month out of surgery and have already last over 50 pounds and feel wonderful no major problem after having the surgery

Hi Maureen, Congratulations on your amazing weight loss at just four months post-op. I'm in the initial stages of my WLS journey and live fairly close to you. Do you mind me asking who your surgeon is and what hospital you went to? My surgeon is Dr. Pamela Gastwirt out of Dedham Medical. My surgery will most likely be right after Christmas because I am an elementary school teacher and taking time off from school isn't in the best interest of my students, however I am finally doing something soley for my own self-improvement!! Any advice would be appreciated. Did you have an open or lap procedure? My surgeon can do both, but I will be going to the Faulkner which only allows open surgery. Bummer because the lap procedure seems to have the quickest recovery period. PS I've never posted anything on a message board and I apologize if I'm being too forward. I just want to connect with as many people as possible and find out as much information as I can pre-op.
