1 month till surgery
My revision to a RNY will be done at St. E's in Brighton Dec. 14th. Just wondering if anyone has had there surgery there. Are the rooms private? In general what was your experience. What did you bring...or wish you had brought. Anything unexpected happen. I'm just alittle anxious and excited. How is your progress? Ok, I'll stop now
I had my surgery about 2.5 years ago at Lahey. So I don't know anything about St.E's. But I can tell you that I was so terrified of the surgery and it was so uneventful. So try not to worry. Most likely, you will come thru it just fine, and if not, there will be plenty of time to worry later
I took way too much stuff to the hospital. If I were doing it again, I'd bring just my pj's and slippers. It was nice to get out of the hospital johnies asap. I brought books and puzzles, and my knitting thinking I'd be bored. But I found I just slept the whole time and didn't need any of it. Bring loose fitting clothing to wear home, and put a pillow in the car to cushion your belly from the seat belt. You should be all set.
best wishes,
Carol

Carol, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! As the time draws closer I'm starting to get a little anxious, at the same time excited to get started. I will be keeping very busy this week and I'm sure it wil go by quickly. I will be the first case in the morning which I'm so thankful for. I wish this forum had more people on it! Thanks for the advice on what bring because I had planned on bringing things to keep me busy. ?
